Bond Awards

The rising number of road traffic accidents within the local Oil & Gas industry community encouraged MB Petroleum to take a quick remedial action as part of its corporate social responsibility. The company organized an open session to review the drivers’ commitment and discuss the issues with management. The session was held at MB Training Room (Azaiba Office) on November 14th, 2006. It was chaired by MB Petroleum CEO Hafidh Al-Busaidy and attended by COO Dr. Fredric Young, QHSE Manager Ibrahim Al-Amri and HR Manager Azza Al-Harthy along with QHSE advisors, Drilling Superintendent and 22 drivers from different departments.

The session led to promising recommendations from the management to improve the quality of the drivers’ work and

1. All departments must follow Journey Management’s rules.
2. Drivers shall not drive vehicles without seat belts, adequate brakes and good tyres.
3. Use of the method - “ask if you don’t understand”.
4. Drilling Superintendent Mahfoodh Al-Sheikh was assigned as amentor for all drivers.
