companies holds 3rd annual Blood donation campaign

The
MB Holding group of companies held its 3rd annual blood donation
campaign at their head office in Azaiba, Muscat on the 3rd of
October 2010. This extremely successful event was held with the
support of the Ministry of Health represented by the Department
of Blood Services.
This campaign is now taking shape as a regular annual event in
the MB Holding calendar and was marketed internally across
various pieces of communication to invite employees from across
the group of companies within Oman.
Mohammad Al Barwani, Chairman, MB Holding group said at the
event “It is extremely gratifying to see such a large turnout
from across the group and all corners of Oman. This further
reaffirms our philosophy of thinking beyond just our business
and contributing to the environment and people around us”.

LLC, was one of the first personnel to arrive. The sheer turnout
of even senior executives from across the group companies
demonstrated how seriously such activities were taken across the
group. The blood donation campaign is yet another call to return
something back to the community. Further encouraged by
recognition from the Ministry of Health Officials on earlier
campaigns signifies the importance of such roles taken by
private sector companies.
Mr. Barwani further added, “We remain committed to our Corporate
Social Responsibility by taking part in activities which sustain
and add value to society and humanity at large. The blood
donation campaign has now become an annual event that MB Holding
group employees await eagerly”.
Chief Medical Officer of MB Holding group Dr. Yahya Abdul Gawad
was thrilled at the response to this year’s campaign and said
“At this rate we might need more infrastructural back up to do
justice to the increasing response from employees across the
group”.
